Elementary Curriculum

At Branson, our desire is to provide students with a strong educational foundation that will serve them well in life. We believe parents are their children's first, and most important teachers. Branson School Online provides each student with a certified teacher who builds a cooperative partnership with parents. Our goal is to provide every student with an individualized education that is made relevant to every-day life through the use of progressive, integrated, Colorado standards-based instructional units.

Enrollment Process
  • If you are interested in becoming a part of the Branson Online school family, the first step is to fill out the application form.
  • Be sure that all past records, especially past report cards, are included.
  • Once your application is received, you will be contacted for an in-person interview, to be conducted in your area.
  • Parents, prospective students, and the interview team will discuss how Branson would serve the student’s educational needs.
  • We will send a letter of acceptance to all families and soon after, an online teacher will contact the student.

Getting Started

Students receive a fully accessorized computer. If the student does not already have a printer, it is the responsibility of the parent to purchase one. You would then be able to turn in reimbursement for the printer for up to $50.00. Additionally, students will receive up to $45 for monthly Internet fees and miscellaneous educational expenses.

  • Students participate in a series of initial assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • The teacher, parent, and student work together to design a Personalized Education Plan based on assessment results and student records to ensure the student achieves academic growth.
  • Parents and students submit and follow a daily schedule.

How it Works
  • As students progress in daily curriculum with parental support, the BSO teacher communicates through weekly emails, instant messenger conversations, and phone calls to answer any questions, discuss progress, resolve problems, assign due dates, and inform families of BSO activities.
  • We require parents to maintain weekly email correspondence and participate in weekly progress-report phone calls.
  • Teachers will send weekly, mid-quarter, and quarterly progress reports via email to parents and students.
  • We encourage students to become involved in class field trips and Branson School Online activities as fits their schedule.
  • Teacher assesses student to measure growth/progress.

Important Information
  • We require students to participate in the spring Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP).
  • Branson offers student services specialists to meet student needs in the areas of special education, reading, and counseling.

By successfully enrolling in the Branson School Online Elementary program, you and your child will be making a commitment to achieve continuous academic growth during the coming year. We hope you will find our program to be just the right fit for the K-6 student in your life!
